Items stolen from 10 cars in city

Tonawanda News — Items were stolen from 10 unlocked cars in the City of Tonawanda overnight on Tuesday, police said.

The larcenies took place on Murray Terrace, Clark Street, Gath Terrace and Colonial Drive.

"The cars that were entered were parked in driveways and every car was unlocked," Capt. Fred Foels said. "A smartphone, an iPod, a GPS, loose change and little knick knacks were taken."

Police are asking that other residents who think their cars may have been entered should contact the city police department.

"Even if it was just change, we want to know," Foels said. "We want them to call so we know if more larcenies occurred."
