Members of the Buffalo SWAT team pulled a Florida man out of his pickup on I-190 following a three-hour armed standoff. The man, James Gilchriese, a Vietnam veteran, was taken unharmed to ECMC for mental evaluation and will be arraigned upon his release. At top, police used a smoke and flash device to distract Gilchriese before pulling him out of the vehicle.
