Tonawanda News — Presale tickets for the rides at Canal Fest are now available online and at local businesses, Director of the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum Rae Proefrock said.
The discounted tickets are $10 for 20 tickets. Each ticket is good for one ride, except for the Vortex, which requires two presale tickets. Buying the ride tickets at the event will result in a cost between $2.50 and $4.17 for each ride, while buying them presale will cost $1.66 each.
The tickets are available on www.canalfest.org and www.carrouselmuseum.org. Those who buy presale tickets online will be charged a convenience fee of $2.00.
The tickets are also available at local businesses. In the City of Tonawanda, tickets can be purchased at Lane Jewelers, located at 28 Seymour St., Tops on Young Street, Tops on Niagara Street and the Walgreens on the corner of Delaware Street and Young Street.
In North Tonawanda, the tickets are available at Tops on Meadow Drive, Budwey's Super Market, located at 535 Divison St., the Corner Store, located at 1091 Oliver St. and The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, at 180 Thompson St.
The tickets can be used during Canal Fest 2014 or can be saved for a future fest. They can also be used at other Powers Great American Midway events. The tickets will only be sold until July 13. No presale tickets will be available once the event begins on July 14.
A percentage of the proceeds from the ride tickets will benefit the carrousel museum.
