Tonawanda holding child safety checkpoint

Tonawanda News — The City of Tonawanda Police Department will be holding a child safety seat checkpoint from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Sunday. 

The event will take place in the parking lot of the police station, located at 200 Niagara St. Those who have a child seat question or issue are encouraged to attend the event.

Certified child safety technicians will be on location to assist with proper installation of the seats. The event is being put on with assistance from the Erie County Sheriff’s Department and with grant funding provided by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.
