Tonawanda News — Town reminds snow plowers to get permit

Town of Tonawanda Clerk Marguerite Greco is reminding all snow plow operators with clients in the town to obtain a snow removal permit before starting business this season. 

Applications for the permit are available under the “document center” tab of the town’s website,

The cost for the permit is $50 and operators must permanently affix the permit to the driver’s side window or rear window of the vehicle. 

The permit must be visible at all times during snow plowing. 

The document ensure that all contractors have proper insurance liability and coverage. Greco also reminded contractors that it is illegal to plow or shovel snow onto any public property or street in the town. 

Greco recommends that residents make sure your snow plow contractor has an updated Tonawanda Snow Removal Permit. To check, you can contact the Better Business Bureau at

Eagles schedule

fish fry dinners

The North Tonawanda Eagles Club will offer fish fry dinners from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Eagles, 7269 Ward Road, NorthTonawanda. From 7 to 10 p.m., musical entertainment is provided.
