Police arrest man for stabbing in Town of Tonawanda

Tonawanda News — Town of Tonawanda Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly stabbing a 15-year-old male early Saturday in the Sheridan-Parkside neighborhood.

Moshe E. Rodriguez, 21, of the Town of Tonawanda, was charged with first degree criminal assault, third degree criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence, endangering the welfare of a child, petit larceny and making a punishable false written statement.

According to Lt. Thomas J. Diehl, the stabbing took place on Cowper Court near Cobb Street at approximately 12:40 a.m. Saturday. 

The victim was stabbed multiple times, according to Diehl. 

The victim, whose name is not being released, was taken to Erie County Medical Center and is listed in serious condition.
