Police ID motorcyclist killed in town crash

Tonawanda News — The motorcyclist killed in a crash in the Town of Tonawanda on Sunday has been identified as 19-year-old Dante Mancuso, police said in a statement.

Mancuso, a town resident, was traveling north on Parker Boulevard at 4:19 p.m. when his motorcycle struck a car driving westbound on Ogden Road. He was transported to the Erie County Medical Center, where he later died of his injuries.

An autopsy was completed Monday morning and the investigation is ongoing.

On Monday, Capt. Joseph Carosi said in an email that "excessive speed and operator inexperience of the motorcyclist are being pursued as contributing factors of crash."

No charges have been filed.
