Tonawanda News — Eight tires and rims were stolen off four trucks at Paddock Chevrolet Inc. in Kenmore overnight Tuesday, according to police. The missing equipment is worth $6,720.

The service manager at the car dealership, located at 3232 Delaware Ave., reported the missing items at 7:51 a.m. Wednesday morning, and said the incident occurred sometime overnight.

The suspect left the vehicles up on cinderblocks, so the vehicles may be damaged, as well, but the manager said he couldn’t assess the damage until all vehicles could be moved and serviced.

The trucks were parked at the main part of the building on Eiseman Avenue at the time of the incident.

Officers canvassed the car dealership Wednesday morning, but did not find any evidence. No security cameras videotape that area.

The crime is considered third-degree grand larceny.
