Hospital hosting wreath contest

Tonawanda News — The Kenmore Mercy Foundation and Auxiliary are is hosting a “Deck the Halls” wreath contest featuring decorations made by hospital employees and volunteers.

Community members are invited to come to the hospital between Nov. 27 and Dec. 16 to view the wreaths and purchase chances to win them, a statement from Kenmore Mercy reads.

The wreaths will be displayed in the hospital’s atrium.

“This event is a great way to kick off the holiday season. Wreaths are more than just decorations and have a sense of tradition with them,” said Susan Jandzinski, the director of Kenmore Mercy Foundation’s Annual Fund. “We hope it will be a successful fundraiser to benefit Kenmore Mercy Hospital and that it will lift the spirits of patients, families and associates during this special time of year.”

Raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 per sheet in the first floor atrium beginning on Nov. 27. Proceeds will benefit the Kenmore Mercy Foundation, which provides financial support to the hospital.

The hospital is located at 2950 Elmwood Ave.
